Singer Songwriter Doug Preston started his journey in the early 90s El Paso, Texas music scene. During this time he shared stages with many local acts including At The Drive In, Pissing Razors, Kactus Juice, and The Pedal Birds and opened for national touring acts including New Wave legend A Flock Of Seagulls.

The new century found Doug in Mesa, Arizona writing, recording, and performing a mixture of Dad Rock, Power Pop, Americana and Indie Rock. Since relocating he’s opened for acts such as American Aquarium, The Crawford Brothers, Ian Moore, Dead Hot Workshop, The Ponce Brothers, Olio, Truckers On Speed, and The Sullivans. Doug has performed at the International Pop Overthrow Music Festival, the Arizona State Fair, and has performed at the Sidepony Express Music Festival every year since it’s inception in 2012.

Doug has released two full length albums, multiple singles, a Maxi-Single under the name Track 8, and has guested on albums by other artists such as Scattered Melodies and Jesse Nova.

Coming in 2026/2027 is a full length record with his band The Lemon Trees, an EP with side project Starlight and live dates across the south west United States both with the band and as a solo act.
